Animal Blankets

An idea of a project to help your local community we decide to help our local animal destitute centre.
 
We enlisted help from our friends from St Philip’s church to help us with this project. We knitted lots and lots of small wool squares. We used wool that we had donated by friends, parents and church. The ladies from church volunteered to come into school and sew the squares together to make small blankets. The ladies came into school and helped children sew the squares also. Once we had made the blankets we walked down the animal destitute centre to give the blankets to the dogs and cats there to make them comfortable and warm. We made a huge difference to the animals at the destitute centre by sharing our values of love, faith, friendship, hope, trust to help those in need.
