Values Learning Walk

You will need

An evidence book, camera, a selection of art and craft materials,
 
To carry out a values Learning walk and record it in a an evidence book
 
First you will need to walk around your school, taking time to look closely at displays, children’s behaviour, reflection areas, classrooms and any other spaces you may have in you school. In you group find all the aspects you see that represent values in action. Take photographs and notes as you travel around your school so you can refer to them when you put your evidence book together. Once you have gathered all your notes and photographs of values in action you are ready to make your evidence book. You can put together you evidence book how you like. We stick the photographs in with notes; we decided to do it in sections, one for each of our school core Christian values. Once the evidence book is finished have discussions with your teachers, Headteacher and Governors as it will demonstrate where amazing things are happening and may highlight where as an ethos group you need to do some more work. We found it very useful as an evaluation of our work ad what we need to work on next.
