Values Sack

To explore the value of Love

You will need

Material to make the sack, artefacts to represent the value, laminated quotes and questions and pictures to represent the value.
 
First make the sack to keep everything in. Next collect objects such as hearts, candle and valentines card. Write quotes about love on hearts cut them out and laminate. Next find pictures that represent the value of love and laminate them. Then make some question cards, cut out and laminate. Who do you love? Do you love yourself? If you have an argument with someone do you still love them? How many different sorts of love is there? Does God love us when we make mistakes? How can we show our love to others? When you have made all your quote and question cards put them in the sack with the objects and pictures. Take your sack to different classes and work with small groups of children using the sack to talk about the importance of love. You can make a values sack for all the values you think about in your school. Things to put in your values sack; Love heart sweeties, broad red ribbon, variety of sized hearts shaped cards, heart post it notes, wooden heart, valentines card, information pack on history of St. Valentine, Rolo's Last Rolo, who would you give it to and why?
