Ethos Activities
To be able to discuss values and what they mean to us.
Wood, paint, pencils and music.
First you will need to make values stops. Ask your site manager or secondary school to help. Values stops are made out of a wooden circle for the base, a long rectangular piece of wood for the post and a wooden circle for the stop sign. Once you have a values stop place it on the playground and at playtime invite children and teachers to come to the values stop to discuss the chosen value. You can record children's responses as this is a good way of seeing if values are working in school. You can choose a different value each week to build up a picture of values you may need to carry out more work on.
