Butterfly Prayers

You will need

Butterfly shapes on card, paint, paint brushes, selection of craft embellishments, glue gun, ribbon and scissors.
 

Firstly, either bu or cut out some butterfly shapes and attach elastic, so they can be worn as wings. The next step is to paint your butterfly and leave it to dry. Next, use the craft supplies to decorate your prayer butterfly. We used scrabble craft letters to make words that will help us in our prayers. We used values such as trust, peace, love and forgiveness.Once your prayer butterfly is decorated, spend sometime in a quiet space looking at all the details you have added. Spend some time talking to God about the things your butterfly makes you think of. You may use your prayer butterfly to pray for creation and the environment. We also wore our prayer butterflies and went outside for a walk to thank God for all the things in our school environment.
