Giant Hand Prayers

You will need

A large hand (printed on the computer or drawn), hand shaped sticky notes, selection of felt tip pens and pencils.
 
You will need to make a giant hand first, either by using the computer or by drawing one). We left out giant hand on the hall floor during one of our Ethos Saturdays for children and adults to use when they wanted. We used hand-shaped sticky notes to write our thoughts and prayers. We discussed that you could use the hand in two ways. Firstly, if there were any troubles or worries that you wanted to place in God’s hands and were in need of a helping hand from God. Secondly, we also wanted to give thanks to God for all the amazing things we can do with our hands. It is also important to ask God to help us to remember to use our hands wisely and for the good of others.
