A Little Book of Hope

You will need

Write and decorate the poem, a star, paperclip, rubber, padlock, penny, flower, heart, marble, jewel, organza bag and a tag for your bag.
 
 Write and decorate the following verse to put in your little bag of hope. Discuss with a partner why these things have been chosen.
 
A star to remind you to keep shining bright.
A paperclip to help you hold everything together.
A heart to remind you that you are loved.
A rubber to fix all those little mistakes.
A penny so that you always have some money.
A flower to help you grow.
A plaster to help you heal when you are hurt.
An elastic band to help you stretch beyond your limit.
A lock to keep your secrets safe.
A marble for the days when you are sure you have lost yours!
 
Now give your little bag of hope to someone you know will benefit from it. You can make several and sell them for charity or school funds.
