Love is patient

You will need 

A bowl filled with small sweets (we used Smarties), a packet of larger sweets (we used Rolo’s) and chopsticks.
 
Discuss in your group what the caption ‘Love is Patient’ means. Empty the small sweets into the bowl and add several of the larger sweets and mix them in. Explain to the group that the aim of this activity is to use the chopsticks with one hand to pick out one of the larger sweets. If you are patient enough to pick out the larger sweet you can eat it! Allow everyone in the group chance to carry out the activity. Did anyone show great patience? Did anyone give up? What does this activity tell us about love? Think about the bible verse 1 Corinthians 13:4 ‘Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud’.
