Values Curtain

You will need

Strips of paper in a variety of colours, a stapler, selotape and scissors.
 
Firstly cut strips of paper in as many different colours as you can. Decide which colour is going to represent each value, virtue or quality e.g.
* red – love                             * white – peace
* light blue – trust                  * orange - respect
* light green – hope               * pink – listening to others
* dark green – wisdom          * dark blue - friendship
* purple – compassion           * lilac - forgiveness
* yellow – happiness              * silver – kindness
* gold – perseverance            * maroon – motivation etc.
 
Take the coloured strips and make several chains in each of the colours and hang them to make a curtain. You can add words and captions and staple them onto your values curtain. Discuss the value/virtue with a partner as you move through different colours of the curtain. How does that value impact on your daily life? Think of a situation when you have used that value. How important is that value/virtue to you?
