Christmas 

* This week we are looking at the season of Christmas.  
* Watch the video on the blog. Bishop Bridgeman children have produced a fantastic video this for this week, looking at the importance of Christmas.
* What, if anything, does the time of Christmas mean to you?
* Why is it so important for Christians to have this season of Christmas?
* What sort of things can you do at Christmas to help you   
   reflect and develop?
* What sort of things can your school do at Christmas to help others?
* What is the significance of the candle in a Christingle?
* Use your window, door and mirror key rings to reflect on not giving up. How do you feel now? What have you discovered? What will you take away from this week’s Ethos to Go?

We feel that Christmas is important as we are reminded to celebrate the birth of Jesus. It also allows us to reflect and be grateful for what we receive.

To us, Christmas means: spending time with friends and family, giving and receiving gifts, Christmas dinner, the magic of Father Christmas, enjoying Advent, pigs in blankets, snow, celebrating the birth of Jesus.

We discussed how we celebrate Christmas, as well as how other countries celebrate it around the world. We also recounted the meanings behind each part of a Christingle, and talked about what we do in school on the run up to Christmas.
