Hope

* This week we are looking at the importance of hope. Why is it important to have hope? What does hope mean to you?
* Watch the video on the blog. St James Ethos children have produced a fantastic video this for this week, looking at hope.
* There are lots of examples in the Bible where God shows us that having hope is the right thing to do. Can you discuss any?
* Do you have things you hope for?
* Can you think of a time when hope has helped you through when you were sad?
* Use your window, door and mirror key rings to reflect on hope. How do you feel now? What have you discovered?
* How will you put this new understanding into action?

Hope is important because without hope you would give up and not succeed. Hope is an important aspect of our everyday lives. Without hope, we would have nothing to look forward to or believe in.

To have hope is to want an outcome that makes your life better in some way. It not only can help make a tough present situation more bearable but also can eventually improve our lives because envisioning a better future motivates you to take the step

We need to manage our hopes so we don't hope for the impossible. We can have short term hopes that may happen today and long term hopes we need to work towards. We must be prepared to manage our hopes because they may not turn out how we want.
