Hopes and Aspirations

* This week we are looking at the importance of overcoming barriers and obstacles, having hopes and aspirations
* Watch the video on the blog. St James children have produced a fantastic video this for this week, looking at overcoming barriers and having hope.
* There are lots of examples in the Bible where God shows us that we can have hope in Him and he helps us overcome difficulties. Can you discuss any?
* What barriers and obstacles do you face each day?
* Jonah was a groaner, why does he need hope?
* How does God show Jonah that he can find hope in God?
* How do we overcome barriers and obstacles?
* How does the bible quote St James use show us hope?
* Think about the door and how you will take this with you into the community.

We recorded our hopes for the year on doves for our reflection tree. Then we talked about the qualities we will need to have to overcome obstacles like resilience.

Your hope and inspiration isn’t always about want you want to be. It could be how you can change the world.Our barriers could sometimes get you in the way and take you the wrong direction but that doesn’t meen you can’t learn from your mistake.

We are all looking forward to moving into our new class next year and hope to have a really good time in year 1. When we grow up we hope to be doctors, teachers and hairdressers. We know that God will help us to achieve our dreams.

L1 hope people around the world say postivie things about each other and all treat each other with kindness and respect. We hope everyone can be friends. We hope people around the world keep the world clean and there is no littering on the streets.
