We enjoyed listening to the story of St Patrick and discussed how inspirational he was. We looked at different St Patrick day celebrations from around the world and recognised the importance of Patron Saints.

We can learn how to be determined and have courage through St Patrick’s story and we see how inspirational and passionate he was. We can apply this to our lives by being passionate ourselves and having determination and courage.

In class, we talked about what we learnt from St Patrick’s story. St Patrick was bold; he displayed his boldness when he kept the fire going and he even faced the king after doing it, this showed his determination and passion for sharing his faith.

We discussed how people around the world celebrate St Patrick's Day and how we remember how he suffered. We compared his suffering to other figures like Jesus or Moses, and discussed how other countries have different Patron Saints that they remember

We talked about how St Patricks Day is an Irish Festival to celebrate Saint Patrick. We talked about how the festival is celebrated in different ways and the link that potatoes has with the Irish culture.

We discussed St Patrick and how he became a priest with the goal of spreading Christianity. He spread love, had a lot of commitment and needed to show resilience. We can take inspiration from these traits and try to apply them to our own lives.
