 Hope 2

* This week we are looking at the importance of our Christian value of hope and the story of Bartimaeus.
* Watch the video on the blog. St James children have produced a fantastic video this for this week, looking at hope through this bible story.
* What does hope mean to you?
* How can you be a hope carrier?
* There are lots of examples in the Bible where God shows us that we can have hope in Him and he helps us overcome difficulties. Can you discuss any?
* What will you take away with you from the story of Bartimaeus?
* How do we overcome barriers and obstacles?
* Think about the door and how you will take this with you into the community.

We talked about if you have hope, you also have to trust someone, or trust God, that he will make something happen. If you have hope, you want something to get better. It's not about a wish, like "I hope I get a nice birthday present."
